Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara continues its stellar run at the box office, crossing the ₹300 crore worldwide mark on its 10th day. The film, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, collected ₹30 crore on its second Sunday, pushing its India total to ₹247.25 crore, according to Sacnilk.

The film added ₹26.5 crore on Saturday and breached the ₹20 crore daily mark after two consecutive quieter days, showing renewed momentum over the weekend. The only other time it crossed the ₹30 crore mark was last Sunday, when it earned ₹35.75 crore following a ₹26 crore Saturday.

Record-Breaking Run

With this milestone, Saiyaara has surpassed the domestic earnings of big releases such as Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 (₹198.41 crore), Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 (₹179.30 crore), and Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par (₹165.85 crore).

Currently, the film is the second highest-grossing Hindi release of 2025, trailing only Laxman Utekar’s historical drama Chhaava, which stands tall with ₹615.39 crore at the domestic box office. While Saiyaara is unlikely to topple Chhaava, its strong collections cement it as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.

Challenges Ahead

The film faces fresh competition this Friday with Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 and Siddhant Chaturvedi–Triptii Dimri starrer Dhadak 2 releasing nationwide, which could slow its momentum.

Star Debuts and Industry Praise

Saiyaara marks the big-screen debut of Ahaan Panday, cousin of Ananya Panday and nephew of Chunky Panday, alongside Aneet Padda, who earned recognition last year with Prime Video India’s Big Girls Don’t Cry. The supporting cast includes Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, and Shaad Randhawa.

Produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, the film is also the first production venture for YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani. The official logline describes it as “a rollercoaster romance of passionate lovers navigating euphoric highs and crushing lows.”

The film has earned praise from Bollywood stalwarts. Aamir Khan congratulated the cast and crew in a social media post, lauding Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda for their impactful debuts. Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar also extended their best wishes, celebrating the film’s resounding success.
